The MoU was signed in the presence of Arjun Bahadur Thapa, Nepal´s ambassador to UAE.
In the Nepali delegation, which will be in the UAE for five days, FNCCI executive members Dinesh Shrestha and Ashok Sharma, vice president of FNCCI chapter Pokhara Michael Karmacharya, Talak Bahadur Ranabhat, immediate past president of Nepal foreign employment entrepreneurs association, General secretary of Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal Pradip Chapagain and senior officer at FNCCI Bidurchandra Lamichhane are included.
Prabhu Finance introduces new saving scheme
KATHMANDU, April 29: Prabhu Finance has introduced a new fixed deposit scheme from Thursday. According to a press statement issued by the company, depositors will get 10 percent interest rate for fixed six-month deposits.
The account holders of this scheme will also be entitled to free Prabhu debit card, sms banking, E-banking, interbank transaction. Customers with deposits over Rs 500,000 also get free safe deposit locker facility.
The company has 23 branches and six ATM counters throughout the country. The company is also planning to open two new branches within this fiscal, stated the release.
Mero City opens second phase booking
KATHMANDU, April 29: Royal Orchid Developers (Mero City) has opened bookings for the second phase of its project. According to a press statement issued by the company, the booking for the first phase has crossed 80 percent of the apartments within a week.
In keeping with the public demand, second phase booking has also been opened, added the release. As a choice of residential option, Mero city provides spacious apartments, starting with single bedroom apartments at 400 sq. ft. to three bedroom apartments at 1100 sq. ft.

Maruti spare parts showroom
KATHMANDU, April 29: The automotive wing of Chaudhary Group Nepal, Arun International Traders, has opened a genuine spare parts showroom of Maruti Suzuki vehicles at Battisputali.
“All kinds of genuine spare parts of Maruti Suzuki are available at the showroom and we are offering discounts and home delivery service for a short period,” the company said in a press statement.
Apart from this, the company has 3-S (Sales, Service and Spares) showroom at Pulchowk where all kinds of genuine spare parts and accessories recognized by Suzuki Motors Corporation are available.
Maruti Suzuki has recently launched 3-cylinder K-series engine vehicles.
Yamaha opens Extramile
KATHMANDU, April 29: Morang Auto Works, the sole authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal has opened a new showroom -- Extramile Pvt Ltd -- at Balkumari.
“The new showroom will offer valuation of any kind of old bikes, easy financing facilities to customers and sales of all available models of Yamaha motorcycles,” Anil Bhetwal, managing director of Extramile Pvt Ltd, said in a statement.
The showroom has also launched a special 24-hour service support to all Yamaha motorcycles inside Kathmandu Valley, the statement added.
Extramile has also been organizing Yamaha Super Exchange Camp from April April 28-30 to provide customers with attractive facilities like spot financing from reputed finance companies and exchange facility.
NB Bank opens 18th branch
KATHMANDU, April 29: Nepal Bangladesh Bank on Thursday opened its 18th branch at Sallaghari in Bhaktapur.
Issuing a press release, the bank said that the branch will provide all modern banking services to its customers. The branch also has automated teller machine (ATM) services.
Prior to this, the bank was operating 17 branches and its client base stood at 115,000.
The bank has also revised its special fixed deposit schemes, under which the customers can now open accounts at Rs 111,000. Previously, the customers could open accounts under this scheme at Rs 555,000.
The bank has is also planning to install seven new ATMs within this fiscal. It also formally launched internet banking services from Thursday. The bank also said that it would start issuing loans against gold and gold jewelries by the end of this fiscal.
Sunrise bank at Harisiddhi
KATHMANDU, April 29: Sunrise Bank Ltd has opened its 33rd branch at Harisiddhi of Lalitpur and started transaction from Thursday.
“The bank has opened its branch office at Harisiddhi to help in business promotion of small entrepreneurs and provide modern banking facilities to the people residing there,” Suman Neupane, managing director of the bank said in the statement.
The bank has been operating 32 ATMs at present.
