BUSINESS BRIEFS: Dell's brand ambassador campaign

KATHMANDU, Oct 15: Dell Brand Ambassador Campaign oganized by Generation Next Communications -- the authorized distributor of Dell products in Nepal -- concluded on October 15. Issuing a press statement, the company said Step 1 of the campaign was organized in 25 colleges inside the valley. The campaign focused on basic computer handling, troubleshooting and new technological developments.



The participants at the workshop were students from different levels and fields, faculty members and various representatives from the college management. The workshop was simultaneously followed by Step 2, which included filling of forms on Gnext website as registration for ´Be the Face of Dell´--a Dell brand ambassador campaign. [break]



For every sale, the participant would be awarded with an incentive along with points ranging from 100-150 depending on the type of processor Core i3 to Core i7, said the statement. "On achieving milestones, the participants won various prizes such as Dell notebook, Dell printer, Dell monitor and gift vouchers worth Rs 5,000," added the statement.



CG Automobiles hold free cardio check-up camp



KATHMANDU
: As part of its corporate social responsibility, CG Automobiles -- the authorized distributor of Suzuki -- organized a two-day free Cardiology Check-up Camp 2012 in association with Club Heart Pleaser at Tinthana VDC Office on October 12 and 13. More than 400 people benefited from the camp. Vayodha Hospitals in Balkhu had provided technical assistance for the camp and also distributed prescribed medicines to the patients for free. The camp was inaugurated by Chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka Jaya Bahadur Chand. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the initiatives taken by the club and the company.



The beneficiaries of the camp included locals of Tinthana along with locals of places like Naikap, Satungal, Balambu, Thankot and Dahachowk, among others. Sunil B Chhetri, deputy general manager and business planning manager at CG Automobiles, expressed happiness over turnout of participants for the camp.



Civil Homes´ festive offer



KATHMANDU
: Civil Homes has announced ´Dashain Tihar ko Bahar, Civil Homes ko Ghar Kinda Gharai Upahar´ campaign for the festive season. Under the campaign, customers buying a home at Civil Homes can win another home as a bumper prize through lucky draw.



Issuing a statement on Monday, the company said it has opened bookings for the homes in Colony I, Phase III and phase IV. Among 31 customers who buy home at Phase III, one will get home worth Rs 16.7 million and among 26 customers buying homes at Colony I one lucky customer will get home worth Rs 15.5 million, Ichhya Raj Tamang, chairman of Civil Group, said in the statement.



Similarly, one lucky customer among 24 customers buying apartments at Phase IV Zone II will get shop worth Rs 4.8 million at Civil Trade Center, Sundhara and one lucky customer among 78 customers buying apartments in Zone I will get home worth Rs 10.7 million, said the statement.



In addition to that, the company will provide a scratch coupon to every customer through which they can win gold coins of 5 grams to 15 grams and those buying homes and apartments in phase II and IV will get one year free membership at the swimming pool, added the statement.
