In Sangbodada, Yonjan would be accompanied by a group of followers -- both local and foreigners. About 50 foreigners had camped near the house. In the fighting, police had intervened and negotiated a six-point understanding between the locals and Yonjon followers.
Meanwhile, a week after the incident, Yonjon followers had expelled five foreigners from the camp claiming that they had disrespected Yonjan by stepping on his portrait.
