“Border should be well-managed in order to ensure the country's internal security provision and to prevent any activities that could happen against neighboring countries by the use of Nepali soil. The government is working on this area,” Minister Khand said.

He added that the tasks of border management will begin immediately after the federal and provincial assembly elections to be conducted on November 20.

The tasks of border management would begin from Belhiya point of Rupandehi, he promised.

Similarly, he shared that the government was making diplomatic and political efforts for the construction of the Integrated Check Point (ICP) to be developed in Belahiya.

“We have acquired land for ICP construction from our side. It has been delayed as the Indian side has not acquired land for the same,” according to Minister Khand.

On the occasion, he also assured to complete the remaining tasks of the Belahiya-Butwal trade route within three to four months.

Furthermore, the NC leader said the government was positive towards the undisrupted power supply in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Rupandehi district and the demands raised by the industrialists and business persons on the operation procedure of the industries.
