KATHMANDU, Dec 28: A bomb was detonated outside Durbar High School opposite Rani Pokhari in the capital Sunday morning, Avenues TV reported.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Nawaraj Silwal, chief of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu confirmed the incident. He told myrepublica.com that the blast took place at around 6.45 a.m. "It was a sutali bomb (a kind of improvised explosive device) kept inside a hole of a tree trunk outside the school," Silwal said. No one has been injured, he said, adding that police are investigating who is behind the blast.
On Saturday afternoon, there was another minor blast near the airport gate in Kathmandu.
