Bir Hospital and National Trauma Center start OPD service from 8AM

KATHMANDU, July 17: Bir Hospital and the National Trauma Center have started the Out Patient Department (OPD) service from 8AM today onwards. Earlier, the OPD service would begin from 9AM.

KATHMANDU, July 17: Bir Hospital and the National Trauma Center have started the Out Patient Department (OPD) service from 8AM today onwards. Earlier, the OPD service would begin from 9AM.


Dr Santosh Paudel, director of Bir Hospital, said that the OPD service has been started from 8AM in order to provide convenient service to the patients. He said that the ticket timings in both hospitals are fixed from 7am to 2:30PM.

According to the hospital, the surgery service at Bir Hospital will start from 8 am. The hospital administration said that e-attendance of all employees has been made mandatory. Three thousand patients are receiving OPD services from the hospital daily.


Dr Badri Rijal, chief medical superintendent of the trauma center said that the OPD service has been started since 8:15 am. According to him, OPD services have been started in all the departments under the trauma center since morning.


The Executive Council meeting of the National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) decided to start OPD services at Bir Hospital and Trauma Center from 8 am.
