The office registered 30,020 two-wheelers during the period this year. In the same period in Fiscal Year 2064/65, 22,341 two-wheelers were registered at the office. Meanwhile, 2,440 units were registered in the car, jeep and van category in the seven-month period this year while the number was 3,518 in the corresponding period last year.

The growth of two-wheelers in Bagmati Zone has been steadily increasing since Fiscal Year 2060/61 when 18,035 units were registered. Last year registrations jumped nearly 220 percent, crossing the 100,000 mark for the first time with 105,602 two-wheelers registered at the Bagmati Zone office. At the end of the seventh month of the current fiscal year, there were 386,731 two-wheelers in the zone.
Meanwhile, vehicle registration from all over the country has contributed Rs 1.96 billion in revenue in the seven months of the current fiscal year, Department of Transport Management records show. During the period, 61,427 vehicles were registered throughout Nepal out of which 56 percent or 34,534 units were registered in Bagmati Zone.
