KATHMANDU, May 22: Bijeshwori Gyan Mandir Sainik Mahavidyalaya has secured the third spot in the ongoing first Chandragiri Deputy-mayor Cup School-level Open Girls’ Basketball Tournament on Monday.

In the ‘best of five’ match, Bijeshwori defeated Three Star Academy 25-16, 21-25, 25-19, 25-13 to secure the third place. The tournament organized by the Chandragiri chapter of Madan Bhandari Sports Academy will be concluded on Tuesday. The winner of the tournament will take home Rs 45,000, while the runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 25,000. The third-placed player will get Rs 15,000, while the fourth-placed will be prized with Rs 10,000.


 The best player of the tournament and the best spiker, the best blocker, the best server, the best defender and the best server will also be awarded with cash prize, the organizers informed.
