Former PM Dr Bhattarai announces not to take old age allowance

KATHMANDU, May 30: Former Prime Minister and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP)’s Federal Council Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that the budget for FY 2022/23 has failed to introduce any transformational plan.

Giving a brief response to the media at the Parliament House after the presentation of the budget, Dr Bhattarai protested against the announcement of lowering the age limit for old age allowance to 68 from 70 years and said that he would not take the allowance.
