Opting to bat first, Bhairahawa was all out for 205 runs in 44.4 overs and bundled out Janakpur for a paltry total of 64 runs in 34.5 overs.[break]
Janakpur´s second defeat in as many matches has almost ended its chances of making it to the next round while Bhairahawa with four points strengthened its chances of advancing into the last four from Group B.
No 3 batsman Sabin Shakya scored the highest 59 runs off 69 deliveries for Bhairahawa with seven fours and two sixes before being bowled by Sushant Mandal. Shakya was declared the man-of-the-match. Openers Shankar Rana (14) and Nirmal Thapa (33) and Prakash KC (26) also contributed for the winning team.
Krishna Sen (12) and Ganesh Gaudel (12) were the other batsmen to reach double figures. Bijay Sunar (8), Susan Bhari (7), Ikhlaq Ahmad (3) and Bivek Chaudhary (0) were dismissed cheaply. Devendra Somare remained unbeaten without scoring a single run. Bhairahawa received 31 extras.
Sushant Mandal of Janakpur claimed the highest four wickets in his nine-over spell while Gopal Singh and Rahul Pratap Singh took two wickets each.
Opener Rajaula Mustafa (11), Ansarul Rain (13) and Sameer Nepal (12) were the only batsmen to reach double figures as Janakpur lost wickets at regular intervals. Rahul Pratap Singh remained unbeaten on nine runs, while three batsmen were out without scoring.
Bivek Chaudhary was the pick of Bhairahawa bowlers as he took three wickets in his nine-over spell conceding 13 runs with four maiden overs. Devendra Somare, Ikhlaq Ahmad and Susan Bhari claimed two wickets each while Krishna Shen got one wicket.
