The april 25 great quake of 7.8 magnitude on richter scale shook all of us , perished 8000 mark and devasting loss of properties. Around mid day ,in saturday, busiest kathmandu city felt a great shock of earthquake,sounds of people crying , people rushing out ; rattled and frightened and with convulsive movement.It fuelled fear among the common folks andIn a moment of few minutes, people were burried by their own houses; many were executed and some were rescued.
I was also the one who was rescued.I couldn't get out of my house although i was safe but the path was blocked.I was alone at house to ask help inside so I asked help ; Help! ,Help! and so on. Meanwhile,I glanced some people walking nearby our house and they rescued me, I thanked to them.Then , I phoned to my parents who were in lalitpur, but there was poor connection. I was depressed but soon they phoned me and told they all are safe , this gave me quite relief. Then, after I was rescued, I thought it's my duty to help other victims nearby . I joined the group of some youths and in some minutes, more people joined us .I still remember that I help one small boy who was hiding inside the bed and couldn't move;the way was blocked.I called my friend who was with me, and rescued the boy. He couldn't speak due to fear, we gave him water and some snacks and after some time, he spoke with us,"Where are my parents ?", he started to cry.We then try to search for his parents. Meanwhile, somebody knocked the door and cried,"Ramesh","Ramesh". We then glanced and found that they were his parents.Then, ramesh stopped to cry,he hugged his father and mother.We asked his parents," Why did you left him alone?" and they answered,"We were in the kitchen,Ramesh was slepping on the bed as the tremor was felt we cried"Ramesh" but he didn't answered, we try to go the room but the way was blocked so we ran away.We are thankful to the god that you worthy people rescued him." Then we handed ramesh to thier parents and were about to leave thier home.Thier parents again thanked us.
This event made us feel proud and happy that we did something worthy.So, it's our prime duty to help the people who are in need and the society should also appreciate worthy works.
