As Fagu Purnima, the day of the Holi festival, unfolds, the jubilant spirit of Holi is on full display in the hilly regions of Nepal, including the Kathmandu Valley.
Life in Basantapur
On the main day of Holi, which commenced with the installation of the ceremonial Chir (a bamboo pole adorned with vibrant fabrics) in Basantapur on March 17, the square is brimming with festive fervor.
