Transport entrepreneurs have announced banda in Dang, Salyan, Pyuthan, Rukum and Rolpa districts stating that the government has not provided compensation for the vehicles seized and used by the Nepal Army during the emergency.
Normal life has been affected. Public have been inconvenienced as vehicles bound for several destinations have not plied on the road.
"The state did not heed our demands. Thus we are forced to stage the protest," said Federation of National Nepal Transport Entrepreneur, Rapti coordinator, Bharat Nath Yogi.
When asked how the authority is handling their demands, Chief District Officer of Dang Rishi Ram Dhakal said the District Administration Office has already recommended the central authority to provide compensation for the vehicles seized and used during the emergency.
