KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Nepali Congress leader and former home minister Bal Krishna Khand, who is accused in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees scam, has appeared before the Kathmandu District Court.


Former Home Minister Khand was brought to the District Court to carry out further process of his release after the Patan High Court ordered him to be released on a bail of Rs 3 million on Thursday.

Khand reached the Kathmandu District Court and submitted a bank guarantee of Rs 3 million. Khand will be released only after appearing before the Department of Money laundering Investigation (DoMLI) and the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
