Protecting Health from Climate Change
The District Hospital receives 60 to 70 people suffering from diarrhoea, fever and common cold, said Dr Debendra Lekhak, adding that the patients visiting the hospital dominate children and elderly people as they are mostly susceptible to waterborne diseases.
People fall sick during monsoon comparatively due to weather change, he said. He suggested drinking boiled or purified water to combat water-induced diseases.
