KANCHANPUR, Oct 24: A baby croc was found at the front yard of Bikash Sethi's residence at Beldandi Municipality – 7 on Sunday evening.
The family – surprised at the uninvited guest – took no time to inform the Beldandi Range Post Office. The baby crocodile was rescued and taken to the Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve, said Range Post technician, Uttam Bahadur Bista. The baby croc weighs 10 kilos.
Huge cache of firecrackers found
The police on Sunday evening found a huge cache of firecrackers at Mahendranagar Bazaar in Bhimdattanagar – 4 of Kanchanpur.
The police were searching for firecrackers being smuggled across the border from India when they came across two sacks of abandoned firecrackers of all sizes and shapes, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nain Singh Karki of District Police Office (DPO), Kanchanpur.
The smugglers had fled the scene instantly when the police arrived. RSS
