According to a press statement issued by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Saturday, a meeting of ANFA officials and representatives of B division clubs at the APF headquarters, Halchowk took a decision to this effect. [break]
The meeting has also decided to chalk out other plans and programs on the basis of mutual agreement.
Shuttlers off to Bangladesh
An 11-member badminton squad, including seven players, left for Bangladesh on Sunday to participate in a 10-day long training.
After attending the training course, the players will participate in the Asian U-19 junior Badminton Championship scheduled for July 2-9 in Lucknow, India.[break]
The team includes Ratna Jit Tamang, Mohammad Irfan Ansari, Sudip Sedai, Poonam Gurung, Sikchya Shrestha, Manila Shrestha and Ashmita Giri as players.
National Sports Council member secretary Yuvaraj Lama bade farewell to the team. Samir Bahadur Singh is the team manager while Sudip Younzon is the chief coach and Anil Lakhe an assistant coach.
Cambridge, Manohar win
Bidhya Aarjan School, Model Academy, Chahana and Nava Jagriti registered victories in the ongoing Coca-cola Inter-school National Football Tournament on Sunday.
In the matches played at ANFA complex, Satdobato, Bidhya Aarjan thrashed Iden Public School 4-0, with a hat-trick from Deepak KC and a goal from Suman Lamichhane.
In the second match, Model Academy beat Baal Srijanalay 4-3 in a tie breaker. After the regular time ended in goalless draw, the match headed for a tie breaker.
Likewise, Chahana routed HIMS 12-0. Bipin Shrestha scored five goals while Milan Thapa scored four. Bal Krishna BK scored two goals and Milan Ghale added another one.
In the last match of the day, a goal each from Roshan Rana Magar, Ram Lama and Raj Kumar Lama helped Nava Jagriti beat Mount Gauri Shankar School 3-0.
