KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Lyrist and singer Asha Suhang Limbu has released her two album titled ‘Aditya’ and ‘Sumniya’ simultaneously. The albums were launched amidst a special program organized by Nepali Literature Council in Kathmandu. Different dignitaries were present at the launch program including president of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, Ganesh Rasik and famous singer Rajesh Payal Rai.
Speaking at the launch program, Rasik praised Asha’s attachment for Nepali Music Industry. He said, “Promoting Nepali Music Industry in foreign land is not an easy task. Despite residing in America Asha has contributed a lot for Nepali music. This is positive news for the industry.”
Of leadership, for the leaders
According to a press statement, the launch event was followed by the premier program. Two songs were premiered. Ab Kirat Nepal is the official distributer of the album ‘Aditya’, which comprises of six songs including ‘Timile Chodi’ and ‘Tutne Chaina’.
Similarly, ‘Sumniya’ comprises six Limbu songs. Various prominent singers of the country have sung songs in the album including Rajesh Payal Rai, Deepak Limbu, Tara Prakash Limbu, Melina Rai and Purnima Lama.
Speaking at the event, singer Asha revealed her reason to be a singer, “We Nepali never forget our mother tongue and culture. This motivated me to develop my career in music.” She added, “There are no boundaries for your passion. So wherever I am, I will continue following my passion and continue contributing to the Nepali Music Industry.”
