KATHMANDU, Sept 8: The Kathmandu District Court has given permission to police to arrest Nepali National Cricket Team Captain Sandeep Lamichhane, who is accused of raping a minor girl.
Earlier, the minor girl had filed a complaint against Lamichhane accusing him of rape. The police had asked the court to grant permission to arrest Lamichhane for the investigation.

Sandeep is currently in the West Indies to play in the Caribbean Premier League. After the T20 series against Kenya, Sandeep reached the West Indies from there. According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), he denied his involvement and requested for legal assistance.
