KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Brigadier General Gokul Bhandari has been appointed spokesman and chief of Nepal Army's Public Relations Directorate. Outgoing army spokesperson Naina Raj Dahal handed over the responsibility to Bhandari amidst a function held at Nepal Army Headquarters Wednesday. The post fell vacant in less than three months as Dahal was selected as a sector commander under the UN Peacekeeping mission in South Sudan. Bhandari, who is assigned a new responsibility from his current capacity as the Chief of the Number 2 Brigade at Hile of Dhankuta, hoped to build even stronger civil-military relations in his tenure as spokesperson.
