KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Arju Deuba, senior Nepali Congress leader and wife of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba continues to lag behind in vote count at Kailali – 5. Arju is Nepali Congress’s House of Representative candidate.
Narad Muni Rana of CPN-UML is giving a tough fight to Arju, who, just before election brought a house worth 30 million rupees after being called a tourist.
Trekking trails exploration, maintenance in TAAN priority
So far, Rana has received 23,030 votes while his opponent, Deuba received 19,676. Arju is trailing behind by 3,366 votes.
Across the country, the Left Alliance has been showcasing its strength. So far, the Left Alliance (UML and CPN Maoist Center combined) have won 69 constituencies, with UML winning 50 in the House of Representatives.
The Nepali Congress, on the other hand has won only 10 in the same category.
