APFS into Daffodil Cup quarters

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Armed Police Force School (APFS) marched into the quarterfinals of the 4th Daffodil Cup Inter-school Junior Football Tournament on Sunday.



With a hat-trick each from Rabin Karki and Binaya Sapkota, APF edged past Mount Glory 8-0. Sudip Lama and Saugat Kunwar added one each. [break]



Likewise, RIBS, LRI and St Xaviers´ emerged victorious in other matches. RIBS defeated Reliance Int´l 3-2, LRI beat Lincoln 4-2 and St Xavier´s enjoyed walkover from TIA.



In senior basketball under boys´ category, HIMS had a 52-47 victory over Excelsior and TIA edged past Unique 71-54. Under girls´ section, the hosts Daffodil won both the matches of the day.



In the first match, the hosts defeated Mahendra Bhawan 18-13 and in another they got walkover from Wilson. Similarly, Penwood defeated Galaxy 18-7 and in another match Galaxy got walkover from Bagmati.
