KATHMANDU, July 16: The Supreme Court (SC) has denied issuing an interim order saying that it cannot be even speculated that the CCTV footage of the Ministry of Finance was deleted.

A single bench of Justice Kumar Regmi on Friday said it can be fairly believed that CCTVs installed at the Ministry of Finance and other ministries within the country's principal government secretariat building premises are well protected.

The apex court stated that the interim order was not considered necessary as it is even beyond speculation that the footage was deleted from the system in view of security sensitivity inside the Singha Durbar.

The apex court has issued a prerogative order to place priority to settle the issue as it is related to secrecy and sensitivity of the budget formulation.
