The Department of Archaeology; Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; the then District Development Committee (DDC); the Muktinath Kshetra Development Committee; the local conservation committee, the Water-induced Disaster Management Committee, among others, had provided the grant assistance for the renovation of the monastery.

The devotees have placed the idols of various gods and goddesses inside the monastery.

The ancient stone and mud monastery, although repaired few years back, had started leaking and its walls had become wobbly. The Buddhist preacher Rimpochhe is credited for constructing this monastery at Muktinath, a common pilgrimage for both Buddhists and Hindus. RSS
