SURKHET, Jan 12: Amrit BC has been elected to the post of chairman of CPN-UML Surkhet by the party’s ongoing 8th District Convention. As per the results published on Wednesday, BC won the election with 368 votes against another candidate Dandi Prasad Sharma who received 267 votes in the election.

Similarly, Kulmani Devkota from the BC panel was elected to the post of vice-chairman. Devkota secured the win by receiving 394 votes against another candidate Krisi Giri, who received 226 votes. Likewise, Kabindra Kumar KC from the BC panel was elected to the post of secretary. KC received 390 votes against another candidate Resham Rana from the Sharma panel, who received 233 votes.
Ghanshyam Pandey and Bal Bahadur Nepali from the BC panel were elected to the post of joint secretary. Pandey received 391 votes while Nepali received 369 votes to secure the post.
