KATHMANDU, Sept 11: An American national has been arrested on the charge of pedophilia.
A team of police from Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Kenneth Joseph Coombs, 48, and his accomplice Buddha Putawar aka Lucche, 21, of Swoyambhu from Yambu Hotel in Thamel on Friday.
Police said they also rescued five kids from the hotel premises.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Coombs had sexually abused different children during his Nepal visit time and again.
The Kathmandu District Court has remanded them to judicial custody, police said, adding that further investigation was underway after filing a case of human trafficking and child sex abuse.
