"I object to NOC´s decision of removing my name from the list of officials for the 2012 London Olympics," said Joshi in her resignation letter. Joshi claimed that she was listed as an athletics coach for the London Olympics.[break]
Meanwhile, Joshi´s husband and member of Nepal Olympic Sports Academy Diwakar Lal Amatya also resigned from his post on Wednesday.
"I resigned because the academy was without business and I object to NOC´s misconduct with my wife," said Amatya. "The NOC leadership had called my wife for biometrics test at the British embassy and assured her that she would be listed as an athletics coach for the London Games. However, they have picked another person now," he added.
NOC General Secretary Jeevan Ram Shrestha said he is unaware of the developments.
"We are yet to finalize the number of players for the London Olympics as IOC is yet to decide on wild-card entries. We can decide the number of officials only after finalizing the number of participating athletes," said Shrestha. "In this scenario, I don´t know who told them that Joshi was excluded," he added.
