RASUWA, Nov 5: Cadres and leaders of both the left and right forces in Rasuwa have been found organizing their poll campaigns by breaching the election code of conduct.
With the objective of making their campaigns more appealing, both democratic and left alliances are organizing lavish mass gatherings in various parts of the district. These alliances have mobilized more than 50 vehicles in the district for their promotional campaigns. Parties are also found holding large- sized banners while making door-to-door visits to the locals.
As per the rules of the Election Commission (EC), it is unethical to stick posters and pamphlets in public places. However, such scenes are commonly seen in the district.
Lilanath Neupane of CPN-UML said, “We have seen the posters of democratic alliance hung in public places since a long time, but no action has been taken against them. So, we are also planning to publish them.” According to him, the left alliance has ordered more than 10,000 copies of posters for printing.

In order to create a good impression of the party, Nepali Congress was found conducting road repair and reconstruction work in Uttargaya and Naukunda rural municipalities of the district. However, the construction activity was halted in the middle by the locals and representatives of the ward office saying it was a mere tactics of NC to win more votes.
According to Keshar Bahadur Bulun, chairperson of Uttargaya-4, the construction and repair work was stopped upon receiving complaints at the ward office.
“A person can dig the road if his/her private property is attached with the public land but no political party is allowed to do so,” he said.
But the District Administration Office (DAO) is yet to take action against them as no official complaint has been filed.
Besides that, posters of both the alliances are found posted on the houses of the locals. In this election, social networking site has developed as a new and popular medium for candidates to directly connect to their voters.
