Airline companies slash airfare

KATHMANDU, Jan 9: The government has lowered the price of aviation fuel for domestic flights by Rs 20 per liter. After the state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) reduced the airfare, the airline companies also slashed the price of air tickets .

KATHMANDU, Jan 9: The government has lowered the price of aviation fuel for domestic flights by Rs 20 per liter. After the state-owned Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) reduced the airfare, the airline companies also slashed the price of air tickets .


According to the Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), the price of air tickets from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi has decreased the most by Rs 885 per person.

The fare for mountain flights from Kathmandu has been reduced by Rs 685. Now, the maximum fare of mountain flights has been fixed at Rs 14,000 per person. The fare from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur has been reduced by Rs 600.


Similarly, fares have been reduced by Rs 485 for Biratnagar, Rs 260 for Janakpur, Rs 215 for Bharatpur, and Rs 320 for Pokhara.
