According to Gyanendra Shrestha, an officer at Ministry of Tourism, Adhikari reached the summit of the world’s highest peak at 8 am today.[break]
Putting aside all the controversy and hurdles regarding the permission, Adhikari climbed the Everest as an assistant of the Chinese expedition team.
Adhikari and her colleague actor Aarjun Karki along with 11 others had left Kathmandu for the base camp on April 9.
Arjun Karki had reached the summit on Monday.
