Gurung as well as those accompanying him also met President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris was seen wearing a dress designed by Gurung throughout the oath taking period, which made Gurung a part of the public discussion.
The relationship between Prabal Gurung and the White House is not new. Gurung designed dresses for Michelle Obama, the spouse of President Barack Obama.
Michelle has not only worn dresses designed by Gurung several times but she has also invited Gurung to White House feasts. Few years ago, Gurung also participated in the protest of the United States at the forefront against attacks on Americans of Asian descent.
