LAHAN, Oct 25: A child abducted from Sakhuwannakarkati-9 on Thursday evening by a gang was released in Ladaniya of Bihar, India, Monday evening.

Khabud Miya, 4, was released by the nervous abductors after a massive manhunt by police, according to Inspector Lal Dhwaj Subedi. [break]The abductors called the boy´s family to inform that they were releasing the boy and a police squad immediately left for Ladaniya as soon as the family informed them about the release.

Police claimed that they solved the case after arresting four persons involved in the abduction. The child was released soon after a dispute ensued between two grangs -- the main gang and the gang appointed to hand over the kid, according to police claims.

The abductors were demanding Rs 25,000 in ransom from the boy´s family. The boy was abducted by a group of around 10 persons while he was sleeping with his mother at home. The group had also beaten the mother when she tried to retaliate. The child´s father is currently in abroad for foreign employment.

Inspector Subedi said Police would reveal the details of the case on Tuesday.
