A only-women managed voting center

KAWASOTI, May 11: Only women employees have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing a voting center in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East).

KAWASOTI, May 11: Only women employees have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing a voting center in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East). 


Chief of the District Returning Office Nawalpur, Lal Prasad Sharma said all employees including polling officers designated at the voting center are women.

According to him, all employees from returning officers to assistants, deputed at the voting center at Jeewanjyoti Secondary School in Kawasoti Municipality-3 are women. 


Among the designated are Returning Officer Shanti Gurung, Assistant Returning Officer Radhika Sapkota, assistant employees Rachana Dhungana, Susmita Pangeni and office helper Jeewan Kala KC Parajuli, Sharma said. 


The entire responsibility of managing the voting center and conducting polls on election day has been given to women to make the voting center women-friendly and demonstrate the center as a model, Sharma added.
