DOTI, Feb 28: A total of 883 travelers visited the Khaptad region in Sudurpaschim Province in the past seven months of the current fiscal year (FY).
According to the Khaptad National Park, Khaptad, a highly significant area in terms of religious and natural heritages, received 18 foreigners and 865 domestic tourists in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.

In the fiscal year 2077/78 BS, three foreigners and 1,685 Nepalis visited the Khaptad area, while there were over 2,200 visitors in the fiscal year 2078/79.
Likewise, the total number of visitors was 2,891 in the last fiscal year.
With the beginning of the tourist season, the park expects a rise in the number of visitors.
