7 arrested for selling relief materials

BANEPA, June 10: Seven people have been arrested by police on the charge of selling relief materials meant for the earthquake survivors.

They were arrested from the remote Chaubas in Koshipari VDC. However, some of them were not found involved in it and are being released, DSP at the District Police Office in Kavre Raj Kumar KC said.


Further investigation into the incident is underway and the matter will be finalized later today.

Those arrested are Guna Prasad and Krishna Prasad Chaulagain of Gothapani-9, Indra Lama, Punju Sharma of Dhuseni Shivalaya, driver Prakash Tamang, Surya Bahadur Lama and his son Bijaya of Chubas-7.
