Keki Adhikari, showcasing her ability to blend into versatile characters, has established herself as the leading entertainers of Nepali cinema fraternity. She made her debut in 2010 with ‘Swor’ and is currently busy with the final preparations for the release of her latest ‘Nai Nabhannu La – 5’.    

In conversation with My City’s Sonam Lama, Keki Adhikari revealed five fascinating secrets unknown to many.


Movie buff

She enjoys watching movies. Rather than theaters, she fancies watching them from her personal space. “I like watching movies while traveling. I rarely miss out movies of Tom Hanks and Amir Khan,” claimed Adhikari.

Avid reader

Most of her reads are recommended to her by her friends. More than fictions, she is drawn towards works influenced from the social realities of life. “I admire reading Paulo Coelho, and 11 minutes is one of my favorite books,” she added.


Into sports

Keki’s interest in sports sprouted at an early phase of her life. At college, she was known for her table tennis skills. Apart from table tennis, she is also a huge fan of Lionel Messi. She enjoys watching Messi play and is a fan of his extraordinary skills.


Fond of writing

More than half a dozen of her articles have already been published in Nagarik Daily and Setopati. Being an active advocate of women’s rights, most of her writings address women issues.


Keen filmmaker

Having closely witnessed the Nepali film industry from an early age, she also developed a passion for filmmaking. “With Kohalpur Express, I have set a firm foot on film production, but I have quite long to go. I want to indulge in moviemaking,” she shared.
