Sujan Tamang 22, who was arrested for using marijuana, had died after falling off a cliff while fleeing the police on Thursday. The accident had occurred when he was being taken to Damauli Hospital for medical checkup. [break]
Following the death, a probe committee formed after pressure from locals to investigate the incident, had recommended that the death was caused due to police negligence.
Sub Inspector Shankarprasad Chidi Magar, Policemen Ishwor Nepali, Ramesh Khadka, Mohan Kumar Upparkoti and Prakash Bhatta are those facing suspension.
The deceased, who was originally from Pokhari Bhanjyang-4, was living at Highschool Tar.
The final rites of the deceased were performed Saturday.
