Of the total sick, 28 are undergoing treatment at Bharatpur hospital. Others have been admitted to local hospitals. Some of them were discharged Friday evening. “We ate prasad and danced till late Thursday night,” said Tara Devi Ruwali, a local woman who is also sick.
“By Friday morning, all of us started vomiting. We also suffered from diarrhea.”
Most of sick villagers are women and children. Ram KC, vector control inspector at the Chitwan DPHO, said a medical team will visit the village Saturday to find out what exactly made so many people sick all at once.
