SINDHUPALCHOWK, Oct 1: After April 2015 earthquake, around 4,000 landslides have occurred in Sindhupalchowk district.
According to a report prepared by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the earthquake has triggered a total of 3,733 landslides in the district.
All villages in the district have been affetced one way or other by the landslides.
A single VDC, Bhotasa, has witnessed more than 507 landslides, said the recent report on the earthquake impact assessment prepared by the JICA.
Twenty VDCs, including Tatopani, Helambu and Bhotasa, are highly affected by the landslides. Even the least affected VDCs have recorded two to 90 landslides.
