Meanwhile, according to our correspondent Maheswor Chamling Rai, locals of Beltar, Udayapur, defied banda imposed by Baidya camp. A group of Baltar locals took to the streets and rallied around Beltar bazaar shouting slogans against strike stating that it affected the local weekly market in Beltar.
A minor clash between locals and banda organizers took place following the rally. However, the security personnel intervened to thwart the possible untoward incident, said Karna Thapa, Assistant Sub Inspector of Area Police Office, Beltar.
The local market resumed at 11 am after the negotiation between the two sides.
