A local resident Shyam Bahadur Rokka´s house collapsed in the landslide, killing his daughter Sangita, 17, daughter-in-law Kalpana, 22 and two-year-old grand-daughter Angila at 8 pm Saturday, informed the District Police Office, Ramechhap. [break]
Rokka´s another daughter Geeta has been rescued alive by the police team from Betali police station with help from the locals. She has sustained serious injuries. Shyam Bahadur and his son are currently out of the country for employment.
Only female members of the family were present at the house when the landslide struck.
