Olympus donates equipment to TUTH

KATHMANDU, May 8: The Olympus Corporation, USA has donated medical equipment worth US$ 54,093.68 (approx Rs 3,889,300) to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), according to a press statement issued by the hospital on Sunday.



The received equipment are bronchoscope, gastroscope, colonoscope, video camera processor, light source and assorted accessories including biopsy forceps, cleaning brush, and valves and plugs.



The equipment were donated by Olympus after Dr Philip Heinegg, based in New York, and Dr Yogendra Man Shakya of TUTH jointly approached the company.
