KATHMANDU, March 25: 29 individuals have been arrested from various places in Kathmandu valley on the charge of gambling.
A total of 13 individuals were arrested while gambling at a tea shop in Raniban, Nagarjun Municipality-1. Police arrested 13 individuals, including 35-year-old Sujan Thapa, resident of Raniban, who originally hails from Takukot-4, Gorkha.

The Swayambhu Police Circle detained them, seizing Rs 37,825 in cash along with a deck of cards.
Similarly, six people were arrested while playing gambling at Rita Bhatta's house at Sunrise Heights in Nagarjun Municipality-1 Raniban.
Six individuals including 35-year-old Ramji Upreti of Charaundi, Dhading were arrested, said Nabraj Adhikari, SP of District Police Range, Kathmandu. Rs 1,32,500 and four decks of cards were recovered from them.
Similarly, the police arrested 10 individuals including 44-year-old Rajendra Bahadur Alemgar of Dhading Nilakantha Municipality-4, while playing gambling at Roomba Khaja House located in Nakhkhu, Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-18.
Police deployed from District Police Range, Lalitpur, confiscated Rs 2,06,725 in cash and two decks of cards during the arrest.
