RAUTAHAT, June 19: Security personnel on Friday rescued twenty-six locals trapped in Lalbakaiya River in Rautahat district after four hours of flash flood. The rescued locals, including women, men and children, are from Inaruwa VDC-1.
Rautahat locals blame Pappu Construction for boating accidents
A joint team of Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Police had rescued them after four hours, according to District Police Office (DPO), Rautahat. The locals were trapped in the flooded river from 7 am to 12:30 pm.
Likewise, the rescue team had also rescued 56 goats from the river. It is learnt that massive rainfall on Thursday night in hilly areas had caused flash flood.
