KATHMANDU, Dec 6: The 25 MW Seti Hydroelectric Project has started commercial production after the completion of the commissioning process following the testing of the power plant and interconnection.
The electricity produced from the project has already been transmitted to the Nepal Electricity Authority's (NEA) system, said Jag Bahadur Pokhrel, the executive chairman of the company.

The electricity produced from the project has been connected to the substation of the NEA located in Lahachok, Machapuchhre Municipality-4. The project has an investment of over Rs 5 billion.
A dam has been constructed on the Seti River at Bharabhari, Sardikhola, and water is being brought through a 6,400-meter-long underground pipe to be dropped from a height of 187 meters into the powerhouse at Chintebagar, where electricity is generated. The project is based on run-of-the-river.
