BHARATPUR (CHITWAN), Feb 9: Twenty-three people have been injured in a road accident that took place here early this morning. The accident occurred when a bus (Lu Pra 03-001 Kha 0077) going from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu fell off the Setidobhan bridge (Bharatpur Metropolitan City -29) on the Narayanghat-Mugling road section at 4:30 am, police said.
Police Inspector Nirala Bhandari of the Area Police Office, Muglin, informed that 23 of 28 passengers were injured in the accident. The two injured, who are undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College, are said to be in critical condition, while 22 are in moderate condition. The police confirmed that all the injured are receiving treatment at CMC.

The initial investigation showed that the bus may have lost control after one of the tires deflated. Further investigation is underway.
