KATHMANDU, Nov 5: With the slogan, ‘Handicraft: Prospects for Prosperity’, Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal (FHAN) is set to organize the 16th Handicraft Trade fair and also the 14th Handicraft Competition at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from November 14 to November 18. The event will be organized with support from the Ministry of Commerce and Trade and Export Promotion Center.
The event is aiming at enhancing export trades and promotion of Nepali Handicrafts, as of the statement issued by FHAN.
16th Handicraft Trade Fair and 14th Craft Competition to begin...
Approximately 250 stalls will be at place; 20 of which will be set up by entrepreneurs from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, Bhutan and other countries. The fair will showcase metal craft, silver ornaments, pashmina, cotton products, woodcraft, leather products, metal statues and crafts, and other distinct handmade gift items.
The statement further states that crafts such as making wax statue and knitting will also be featured at the 14th handicraft competition. The fair will also comprise of cultural shows, ethnic food stalls, live art demonstration and many more.
