KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Altogether 16 table tennis players, including eight women entered the final round of the selection tournament for the 12th South Asian Games on Wednesday.

Men players Chandan Shahi, Binesh Khaniya, Anup Joshi, Narayan Ghimire, Shyantu Shrestha, Rajendra Kapali, Sunil Maharjan and Santosh Kafle as well as women players Diksha Tamang, Erika Maharjan, Sanisha Shrestha, Sonu Thapa Magar, Anima Adhikari, Apekshya Shakya, Swikriti Shrestha and Sujata Duwal entered the final round of the selection.
The players will now join five men and five women players (already in the national teams) and vie for the top five positions through competitions to be held under round robin format. Five men and five women players will be selected for the SAG.
