151 CPN-Maoist cadres return to UCPN (Maoist)

KATHMANDU, Oct. 17: A large number of the CPN-Maoist cadres from the party´s Seti-Mahakali State Committee defected from the party to join the UCPN (Maoist) on Wednesday alleging the party leadership of CPN-Maoist as prejudiced and too narrow-minded.



Issuing a joint statement, a total of 151 leaders including Seti-Mahakali State Committee secretariat member Sahadev Bogati, Suresh Rokaya, Ramesh Raj BK and others quit the party and joined the UCPN (Maoist).



In the statement, they have said that concern for revolution, management of cadres, issues of national independence and unitary struggle and some other issues raised by CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhya were incorrect.



They have also stressed for party unification to meet those unfulfilled commitments made in the past.
