15 districts' quake survivors get timber

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The Department of Forests has distributed 450,000 cubic feet of timber to the last year's earthquake survivors of 15 districts.

KATHMANDU, Sept 6: The Department of Forests has distributed 450,000 cubic feet of timber to the last year's earthquake survivors of 15 districts.


The distribution of timber to the quake survivors was made under the post-quake reconstruction drive, the Department said.

The beneficiaries are from Gorkha, Nuwakot, Dhading, Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Chitwan, Bhojpur and Arghakhanchi.


Each household was provided with 50-70 cubic feet of timber on the basis of necessity, Department Spokesperson Chandraman Dangol said. RSS
